RUNNYMEDE S.C.

 

 

 

 

A squad of 13 Runnymede swimmers travelled to Maidstone S.C. to compete in their first ever Level 2 Licensed Open Meet, they all had an excellent gala winning a superb tally of 18 top 3 medals between them.

 

Alex Delicata who was in excellent form throughout the day, took 2 Gold Medals in the 11 years boys 50m Fly and Backstroke events and then went on to win the silver in the 50m Breaststroke and Freestyle.

 

In the girls 11 years Chloe Davis had some excellent swims winning the gold medal in the 50m fly and silver in the 50m backstroke in personal best times. Bethany Goldfinch was also outstanding winning gold in the 10 years age group 50m Breaststroke and silver in the 50m backstroke.

 

Rebecca Scott continued her recent excellent form to win gold in the 14years 100m breaststroke and bronze in the 100m backstroke events.

 

Gold medals were also picked up by Charlotte Davis (100m fly), Charlotte Delicata (100m Breaststroke) and Rebecca Collins (100m Breaststroke) in their respective age groups. Sarah Wright won the silver in the 13years 100m backstroke and bronze for the 100m Freestyle.

 

Also currently swimming extremely well with some excellent recent swims Howard Clarke (14 years) won bronze medals in the 100 freestyle and 100m backstroke events. Sam Goldfinch completed the tally with some great swims throughout the day and winning the bronze medal in the boys 12 years 100m breaststroke.

 

The club also held a fun evening on 18th November in aid of Children In Need with the children swimming in fancy dress or clothes, cake and sweets stall, raffle etc. and raised a fantastic £ 230.
