Club SX Accreditation

Runnymede Swimming Club has attained Gold level Club SX Accreditation having met all the criteria required to meet the standards set by Essex County Council. Club SX is an accreditation scheme aimed at all sports clubs in Essex. It has been designed to recognise high quality clubs with the county and acts as a stepping stone to governing body/Active Sports accreditation schemes. Club Accreditation Schemes are schemes that recognise quality sports clubs who meet a set of criteria for child welfare, coaching standards administration and management.

Club SX Accreditation is another major step forward for the Club, which has, in the last two years gone from strength to strength both in the water and out. The hard work from the Swimmers and the excellent Coaching Team, headed by ASA Coach Paul Eveleigh has produced some outstanding results in the water over recent months; this coupled with the hard work and dedication of the excellent volunteer Management Committee, lead by Chairman Andrew Clarke, the Club is growing both in numbers, quality and reputation in Essex and the East Region.

Club Secretary Heather Davis who lead the accreditation process for the club commented "As a parent myself, I would want to know that when my children joined an organisation that was well run and safe, and that I would get the best possible coaching available for them to aid their ambitions of becoming competitive swimmers.  Club SX demonstrates that Runnymede Swimming Club meets all these requirements and that it provides a quality service to it's members and the community."

This year the club has increased the amount of pool time available to all its existing swimmers and is currently looking into various other areas of expansion including the development of a new section of the club especially for children with special needs.
